A visual representation of choral sound, a design motif that can be used as a visual umbrella for a huge diversity of performance.
Voices Now was a celebration of all things singing... Some of the best choirs in the world, from the BBC Singers to The Magnets, coming together to perform for the first time on one stage, in one weekend, at London’s legendary Roundhouse.
Working with the marketing team at one London's premiere music venues we created designs that could be adopted by the wide range of participants and stakeholders.
The design had to exhuberent and evocative but adaptable enough for potential use in future years.
This was the second big festival project we’ve worked on with Roundhouse, they seem to call us in when there’s a complex challenge with lots of different stakeholders, which is just the way we like it.
Roundhouse : Voices Now - Logo
Our starting point was to produce a typographic mark that would complement the venue’s round logo so they’d site comfortably together.
Roundhouse : Voices Now - Illustration
Choirs sound wonderful but their photographs can seem a little complicated and static. We side-stepped this problem by producing an illustration to describe the choral sound.

It was a pleasure to work with Cog Design on our Voices Now Festival. They worked to a fairly difficult brief, listened to our ideas, and gave positive suggestions where we felt we needed changes. We are delighted with the stunning results.

This is the second complicated Festival project we’ve done with Roundhouse. We worked on the Reverb festival in the previous year; a festival of folk with a similarly diverse offering and complex marketing messages.
