Paul Hamlyn Foundation : Musical Futures

An entirely new way of teaching music in schools, documented in a single ‘how-to’ resources document.

Just wanted to say thank for all your patience and hard work with this. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with you, and I couldn’t have hoped for a better-looking resource pack.
So thanks again, and I really hope we can work together again in the future!

Abigail D’Amore, Musical Futures Project Leader, Paul Hamlyn Foundation

Our design challenge was to create a single, visually engaging printed document that would be cheap to produce, robust enough to survive the rigours of the classroom, and engaging enough for busy teachers to want work through.

There was a huge amount of diverse source material. Our starting point to help our client to simplify that diversity into an integrated system. Once that framework was in place, we used colour, tabs and clear chapter dividers to guide the user through the content.

Accessibility was a key consideration so we used clear sans-serif type on an uncoated stock.

The whole (copyright cleared) document is spiral bound so the pages can be photocopied.
