Infographics for National Lottery Heritage Fund's ‘Heritage Emergency Fund’

Campaign

The Heritage Fund uses National Lottery money to help people explore, enjoy and protect the heritage they care about. In Autumn 2020 they launched the ‘Heritage Emergency Fund’ to distribute funds nationwide and support organisations through the Coronavirus crisis. We helped tell that story through simple shareable infographics.

Towards the end of the summer, we were approached by the Heritage Fund to help communicate the package of support they’re providing with their Heritage Emergency Fund.

We designed infographics to be distributed digitally across platforms including regional and national social media channels to reach their audience.

At the core of this project are the people and communities that heritage organisations reach across the UK. We illustrated a map with a series of charming characters to represent them, demonstrating inclusion and diversity.

Each infographic was focused around a pie chart showing the breakdown of sectors the Heritage Emergency Fund supports, we drew a simple set of icons to symbolise the sectors.

Historic buildings and monuments Historic buildings and monuments
Landscapes and nature Landscapes and nature
Museums, libraries and archives Museums, libraries and archives
Culture and memories Culture and memories

Combined with bold use of their colour palette, we created a joyful piece of work that shines positivity towards the future of how the heritage sector can recover from a difficult and unknown period.
