Everyday Cog

Today we went for our monthly Cog Lunch, this time at the The Old Brewery, where the sun was shining in their large courtyard which opens out into the Royal Naval College grounds.

Michael has spent the morning at the Commonwealth Foundation, for a quarterly catch up about their website.

Graham from Cast was back in the studio today for another all day planning meeting. Plenty of fruit and pastries helped get things started.

Ross and Jonathan have been to The Rag Factory for 1+1=3, the degree show of UCA Farnham. They felt very old amongst all the trendy youngsters.

It’s Jon’s birthday tomorrow, today he had his first ever pot noodle. Happy birthday Jon!

More traditional than a pot noodle, today we celebrated Jon’s birthday with cake.

Michael’s been at the very swanky (see chandelier) Marlborough House. He was presenting to the Commonwealth Foundation, and handing over their new brand guidelines.

We’ve changed our studio’s music system (so we can stream, from Spotify, via a tablet). Nicola’s running new wires through the ceiling.

Alan Bennett dropped in on us today, courtesy of the new cover of Spotlight magazine. Who knew he had such brawny hands?

Mike’s accidentally pressed the ‘get information about all the pictures in the Arts Council England Annual Review’ button.

Alessandra sent us an intriguing Yellow Swan last month, this month we’ve invited her to spend a few weeks with us in the studio on a placement.

Nicola and Michael are both ex-Croydon College students (a generation apart). Tonight they went back to see the latest degree show offerings.

Jon, Ross and our newest team member Greg, are in the creative room making good use of our wall to wall pinboards.

Nicola and Ross have been to the DBA Breakfast this morning to hear Greg Orme discuss how to ‘Harness your agency culture to get results’.

We’ve joined the throng at the RA Summer Exhibition today, for our June Cog Night.

Ross has been planning a summer of cultural events, aided by our new Marlowe Theatre brochure.

The team from Making Music popped in this morning. Their head of membership, Barbara Eifler, appeared to have Ross and Annelise enchanted, by casting a spell from the end of her finger.

Today we had our monthly Cog Lunch, and it was an extra special one as it’s Annelise’s birthday. We chose the best way to celebrate would be to embarrass her by bringing out cake and having the whole restaurant sing to her.

We’ve picked up a short run of Family Arts Festival T-shirts. Look out for the logo popping up over the next few months in the run up to the festival in October this year.

It’s Jon’s last day today, he’s leaving us to start a new life in Leicester. We’ve given him vouchers for his new, local theatre, The Curve. Best of luck Jon!
