We’ve had a pop quiz and a sweepstake for a few of the Olympic games. We’re celebrating this great sporting event with prizes of sugary sweets and chocolate.

The exit from Greenwich station has had a makeover with some pop-up poetry.

Michael has been visiting clients near Trafalgar Square today, it was 26 days 7 hours 5 minutes and 0 seconds until the opening of the Paralympic games, when we last checked.

Today, we spotted the first piece of off-brand Olympic signage. This wonderfully practical addition is on platform 1 at Greenwich station.

We’re a week away from installation of the wayfinding system we’ve created for The Beaney in Canterbury. Here are a few of the signs, in the factory.

We’re putting together a pack of different digital camera kit for a photoshoot. Our Olympus Pen isn’t in the shot, cause we took this photo on it.

Michael has been to Canterbury again today. This time as the wayfinding signs for the Beaney are out of the factory and ready to be installed.

George has started with the Cog team today, he’s originally from the Lake District, so Mike will be happy to have a fellow northerner on board the team.

All day meetings in the studio require plenty of fuel, we’ve stocked up on fruit and croissants, for a continental start to the day.

Another trip to the Beaney for Michael, this time our wayfinding signage has, mostly, been installed. Here is one of the more tricky signs to fit.

Lesa, Kully and Michael came down from Doncaster to our studio today. We had a really good meeting about our ideas for the branding of a new venue, which is opening in Doncaster next year.

George surprised the team today with this fantastic selection of cakes, he’s quickly figured out how to win the hearts of the team.

For our August Cog Night we decided to go for a pub quiz in a Greenwich local. Unfortunately Mike couldn’t make it, and without his general knowledge superpowers, we decided we’d postpone the quiz. We did, however, still manage to go for a drink in the summer sunshine.

We’ve received our file copies for the latest edition of The Marlowe Friends membership magazine, Spotlight. This edition’s cover star is Gareth Gates, who is in panto at the Marlowe later in the year.

It’s a good day when we are commended for our work. Alison from Antalis McNaughton came into the studio today and presented us with this Certificate of Commendation for our design for the DBA Directory Launch Invitation.

We’re having some IT issues today, have been told we need to “make sure Ping traffic for the WAN interface is on and check whether router’s set up from NAT or non NAT”, feel like we’ve been asked to buy a tin of tartan paint.

There’s a new “pop-up” sandwich bar, just outside Greenwich Station. Drawn in by it’s interesting exterior, Ocky went and got a panini.

Michael has fully embraced all that is olympian and today he has been to the Opening Ceremony of the Paralympics.

John, Ben and Helene from the Marlowe have popped down to the studio for a catch-up, this time however, the panto van stayed in Canterbury.

On the last Friday of each month we like to go for a team lunch. Today we went for Pie ‘n’ Mash, after some consideration, John refused to have jellied eels.
