Everyday Cog

The first meeting with a new client and Ocky couldn’t resist lying on their giant map and pointing to our studio. Can you spot it (we’ve coloured it in Cog green, on this photo not on their map)?

We have take off. We’re working on a project that needs more ‘energy’, according to Ross. He’s a man who believes in ‘showing’ not ‘telling’.

Michael’s in Cambridge, visiting clients and talking about new projects. They met in a swanky members club and drank water with a twist of cucumber; how very decadent.

The Tall Ships may be gathering near our studio, ahead of the big festival in Greenwich. But Michael and Ocky are at a client presentation and spotted one just past Tower Bridge.

Michael’s at a breakfast meeting, to talk websites, with Ashley (from Stars Foundation) and Nadine (from Tincan). Where else would they meet but Shoreditch Grind on Silicon Roundabout?

The Tall Ships Festival has come to Greenwich. Ross popped down to the river during his lunch break but didn’t get to see much.

It’s not pleasant but it is interesting and kind of beautiful; our compost recycling bin has developed a fuzzy fungus.

It’s Cog Night. We’re at the Barbican for their Digital Revolutions show. Michael was clearly enjoying the digital interactions.

It’s been a sad day in the studio. After seven great years, Mike is moving on to new adventures. We wished him well with a giant Bourbon biscuit card.

Ross has opened a bike workshop in the studio. He’s very briefly disengaged his creative mind and engaged his technical one to try and figure out why he can’t keep the air in his tyres.

Normally gothically black-clad Michael is sporting a tartan jacket (at last the lining of his black jacket is colourful).

Ocky has been to Greenwich Market to do some antique shopping. He found a tin that reveals a possible distant family link and had to buy it.

It’s been a glorious day, Michael and Katherine are at Turner Contemporary in very sunny Margate. They are talking to Bryony Bishop about how we’ll work together on future projects.

It’s friday evening, but we’re not packing up just yet. Ross is enthusiastically pinning up work to prepare for a presentation on Monday.

Camden Arts Centre is closed on Mondays but Michael, Katherine and Sam were given the treat of a personal tour of their wonderful Shelagh Wakely retrospective. Thanks to Moya Melkin and Emma Law, we’re looking forward to working with you.

The end of an era. After 15 years of running the digital agency, Red Leader, Katherine has officially handed over the reigns today. We wish her all the best with her new adventure.

Joe’s been casting a beady-eye over his first ever set of proofs this afternoon.

Ross spotted these giant graphics at King’s Cross on his way to a client meeting today. He’s hoping that the building underneath will be as striking as the hoarding itself.

It’s getting colder outside and Becca has quite smartly chosen to eat in our garden rather than heading into town.

It’s Sam’s first day. There’s a lot of handover documents to, erm… handover.
