Puppet master Oliver Lansley and his company brought their Fringe favourite to our local theatre. It made for a great night out and the first hit for Les Enfants Terribles.
The Terrible Infants at Greenwich Theatre
I’ve always wanted to recreate the magic of seeing the puppet performance of Shockheaded Peter (with the Tiger Lilies at Lyric Hammersmith). This production wasn’t quite that, but it was magical in other ways, not least that Dame Judy Dench provided the voice of the narrator.
This was the first hit for the company who have gone on to huge success (including a massive, immersive Alice in Wonderland installation), under the name Les Enfants Terribles.
A decade later they brought the show back, this time to the wonderful Wilton’s Music Hall.
