Our first Sainsburys order of the year has arrived and we’re starting 2013 as we mean to go on, with a lovely bowlful of fresh fruit.

Keeping up with our healthy new year, Ross has brought in his favourite Christmas present.

Extra! Extra! We’ve got our hands on the first edition of The Centurion, the newspaper we designed for the London Philharmonic Orchestra, to promote The Rest Is Noise season. Keep your eyes open for copies being handed out in London tube stations next week.

We have a new IT support company, Chris from GenSys is here today making our computers run smoothly and giving us his top tips.

Michael has been to the Royal Horticultural Society today meeting with Fiona Davison. Here she is, in the same, huge, room used to film the Barclays bank adverts.

Hannah Thomas and Claire Turner from the Commonwealth Foundation are here today meeting with Michael and Mike. A long agenda and plenty of tea has resulted in a productive meeting.

We’ve left the Studio for a team outing to Canterbury, visiting The Marlowe team and Jo at The Beaney. Here we are at the Marlowe, before sneaking into the matinée performance of Sleeping Beauty to see the amazing pyrotechnics and mechanical dragon.

The studio makeover continues, we’ve arrived in the studio today to lovely new carpet, which was laid at the weekend.

To have the new carpet fitted, we had to take our entire library of books down from the bookshelves. We now have the task of organising and rearranging our collection – it’s a hard task when trying not to stop and leaf through each book we pick up.

It’s been a cold few days in the Cog studio, waiting for the plumbers to replace our boiler. But now our new boiler is fully functioning and we’re loving the warmth.

Hannah and Marie, from Kew Gardens, came to the studio today to begin working with us on an exciting new project for their Easter campaign.

The bad weather meant not everyone could make a branding discussion at the TMA / SOLT headquarters, but it did make the building look picturesque.

Welcome back Elke. She’s is back with us working on some great projects for the next few weeks.

Jonathan and Ocky were treated to a snowy tour of Kew Gardens today by Hannah (from Kew’s marketing team). Hard to believe that in 2 months, when our Easter campaign goes live, this will be all sunshine and daffodils.

It’s Nicola’s birthday today. We’re celebrating with a double dose of cake.

Michael’s been raving about Fuerzabruta since he went to their show to reopen Roundhouse in 2006, now they’re back. Elke went last week and today as Michael left the 7pm show he passed Ross on his way into the 10pm performance.

Nicola’s forgotten a change of shoes, so she’s had to wear her wellies all day. She’s feeling right at home, with the gnomes, in our indoor garden.

This afternoon we had a visit from Museum of London’s Kirsty Inman, she’s briefing Ross on a new project for their archeology team.

Tonight, Michael’s having dinner with, friend of Cog, Julia Payne from The Hub. A regular catch up to share scurrilous stories about the cultural sector.

Ocky’s been shopping for pipe insulation, not for DIY, but for toy swords, for his son’s 5th birthday party this weekend.

We’ve moved our library of books into the main studio, here’s Mike flicking through the collection, doing some research for a great project he is working on.
